Achievement

The need:

  • to succeed.
  • to be recognized.
  • to progress and grow.

Students who have these needs are easy to identify. They:

  • plan and organize.
  • work hard to achieve goals.
  • try even when others won't.
  • are usually high achievers in the area or their interests.
  • often resort to tooting their own horns.
  • like showing others their plans, work, and achievements. love to talk about what they're doing.
  • are often disliked and/or feared by others who feel inferior, diminished, or "put down" in comparison.
