The Late Arriver

Behavior: Specific attitudes and actions of this child at home and/or at school.

  1. Last to do everything; late to class and last in line. Often lags behind everyone else.

  2. Pretends to be in a hurry. Yet, is always late.

  3. Acts sincere in trying to be on time or get things done. However, is "just so busy" he/she can't.

  4. May be seeking attention or may be fearful.

  5. Enters the room quietly because of embarrassment or fear-or enters noisily, seeking attention.

  6. Often appears completely disorganized.

  7. Usually a poor student.

  8. Behind in his/her work.

  9. Often appears to have good potential.
