"I Won't Do It"

Behavior: Specific attitudes and actions of this child at home and/or at school.

  • Refuses to try new tasks.

  • May start, then stop almost immediately.

  • Fearful.

  • Will only attempt lessons or tasks that appeal to him/her.

  • Often appears busy, but ends up not completing assignments.

  • Usually argumentative.

  • Always makes excuses for what he/she did or didn't do.

  • May "dare" you to make him/her do anything.

  • Appears very hostile to adults.
