The Hyperactive
Behavior: Specific attitudes and actions of this child at home and/or at school.
- Simply cannot sit still.
- Moves arms, shifts body, and plays with objects.
- Gets out of seat whenever he/she can.
- Has a short attention span.
- Pesters other students continually.
- Needs and seeks attention from anyone and everyone.
- In perpetual motion at home, too. When watching TV, fiddles with hands, picks face, or eats. And gets up during every commercial.
- Seems unable to accept any kind of confinement or limits, no matter how reasonable.
- Falls behind in schoolwork and, as a result, is not a good student.
- However, in courses which require activity, may not even be noticed by teacher.
