The Hyperactive

Behavior: Specific attitudes and actions of this child at home and/or at school.

  1. Simply cannot sit still.

  2. Moves arms, shifts body, and plays with objects.

  3. Gets out of seat whenever he/she can.

  4. Has a short attention span.

  5. Pesters other students continually.

  6. Needs and seeks attention from anyone and everyone.

  7. In perpetual motion at home, too. When watching TV, fiddles with hands, picks face, or eats. And gets up during every commercial.

  8. Seems unable to accept any kind of confinement or limits, no matter how reasonable.

  9. Falls behind in schoolwork and, as a result, is not a good student.

  10. However, in courses which require activity, may not even be noticed by teacher.
