The Goer

Behavior: Specific attitudes and actions of this child at home and/or at school.

  1. Always on the move.

  2. Never wants to be where he/she should be, and is always trying to go elsewhere.

  3. Seeks permission to get out of class very frequently for every conceivable reason. Asks for trips to the restroom, locker, office, nurse, counselor, or elsewhere.

  4. Has repeated "emergency" situations which he/she claims cannot be delayed.

  5. Consequently, misses much class time.

  6. Makes private requests to go somewhere in the form of public announcements before entire class.

  7. Brags to other students about getting out of class.

  8. Tries to persuade classmates to go with him/her.

  9. Likely not to be a good student.

  10. Wants most to leave class before tests or when important assignments are due.

  11. Thinks continuously about where he/she can go next.
