The Hider

Behavior: How exactly is my child behaving?

  1. Does not steal; rather, hides pencils, books, food, tickets, purses, and other items—just for fun.

  2. Hides at critical times—shoes before practice, keys before leaving for school.

  3. Denies the action.

  4. Pretends innocence.

  5. May help look for hidden items.

  6. Sometimes involves others.

  7. Attempts to secure approval for his or her cleverness.

  8. Is hurt when others get mad.

  9. Often a loner.
