The Forgetter

Behavior: How exactly is my child behaving?

  1. Fails to do chores.

  2. Doesn't take materials to school.

  3. Forgets to meet responsibilities.

  4. Tries continually to borrow materials from other children.

  5. Is upset and unnerved by forgetting.

  6. Doesn't return borrowed items—whether pencils or money.

  7. Fails to meet standards of the family—often because he or she can't.

  8. Usually is "sorry" he or she forgot.

  9. Expects others to remind him or her or meet his or her needs.

  10. Blames others for his or her forgetting.

  11. May get mad because others "didn't tell me."

  12. Wants to remain dependent upon others.

  13. Does everything at the last minute.

  14. May be like the absent-minded professor who is thinking about many things and forgets minor things.
