Behavior: How exactly is my child behaving?

  1. Gets so far behind that he or she can't seem to catch up. Every day seems to dig this child deeper into the hole of failure.

  2. May fall into one of three distinct groups:

    • Has ability, but fights authority, and resents and resists standards. Remember, people don't fight friends as readily as they do enemies. Children are no exception. If a child doesn't have any adult friends, it's easy to see why teachers m

    • Likely to have a record of misbehavior.

    • May have moved from school to school or city to city.

    • May have friends who are out of school.

    • Associates with older children.

    • Likely to come up with reasons to miss school frequently.

    • Not interested in extracurricular activities, and seldom participates in student government, interest groups, music, or athletics.
